Update 4: After John Jay widened its lead to 27-0 on a 58-yard TD run by Mike Belluzzi to start the third quarter, Mamaroneck got on the board seconds later when Julian Griffin returned the kickoff 68 yards for a score. It’s 27-7.
Update 3: It’s 21-0 JJ-EF at the half.
Update 2: Back-to-back, 1-yard runs by JJ QB Nick Strang in the second quarter have widened the Patriots’ lead to 21-0.
Update 1: Sean McMann of the Poughkeepsie Journal is on hand in Wiccopee (a town I always have to look up to make sure I spell it right). Anyway, the unbeaten Patriots have quickly jumped in front 7-0 in the first quarter as Nick Azzolini hauled in a 14-yard TD reception from Nick Strang. Will the rain and wind hurt Mamaroneck’s passing game? We shall see.
NORTH ROCKLAND AT CARMEL

The Rams will play either John Jay-EF or Mamaroneck next weekend in the semis.
Update 5: It’s 20-0 to start the fourth quarter.
Update 4: Things are really breaking the Rams’ way, KD reports. Despite fumbling four times on an 80-yard drive, Carmel ended up scoring as Shilling connected with Ali Haluci for a 3-yard TD pass with three minutes to go in the third. Carmel 20, North Rockland 0.
Update 3: It’s 13-0 Carmel at the half.
Update 2: The Rams extended their lead to 13-0 on a 27-yard TD run by DiMassimo with 2:46 left in the second quarter.
Update 1: We have team coverage of this Class AA quarterfinal showdown with Kevin Devaney Jr. joining columnist extraordinaire Rick Carpiniello. KD just filed his first update. It’s 7-0 Carmel after the first quarter on a 1-yard run by Dan DiMassimo on the final play of quarter.
LINCOLN HALL AT RYE NECK

Rye Neck will face Albertus Magnus or Westlake next week in the semis.
Update 6: Back comes the Hall. It’s now 28-14 with 3:08 remaining.
Update 5: Rye Neck answers and it’s 28-8 Panthers with 7:38 remaining.
Update 4: The Hall has just gotten on the board as Sir Aaron Taylor connects with Curtus Fisher for a 65-yard TD pass. Fisher then hauled in the 2-point conversion pass. It’s 21-8 Rye Neck with 11:30 remaining in the fourth quarter.
Update 3: It’s 21-0 Rye Neck. Dan Datino just scored on a 5-yard run with 6:49 left in the third quarter.
Update 2: It’s 14-0 Rye Neck at the half as the rain has started to pick up. A 50-yard reception by Dominick Carelli from Jack Newton on a halfback option was the second score.

BRONXVILLE AT CROTON-HARMON

The Tigers will face Dobbs Ferry next weekend in the semis in a rematch of the 2006 Class C sectional title game.
Update 2: JJ reports it’s 19-6 Croton-Harmon at the half. Nick Mainiero’s 57-yard pass pass to Joe Tralli made it 13-0. Brian Murray then scored on a 7-yard run for the Broncos. Mainiero then closed out the half with a 3-yard touchdown run.
Update 1: Justin Jones reports that Croton-Harmon is up 7-0 after the first quarter on a 5-yard run by Dan Luntz. More info to come.
NYACK AT HARRISON
Final: Nyack 20, Harrison 7
The Indians will play Somers in the semifinals next weekend. Harrison will face Poughkeepsie in a non-playoff game.
Update 4: Anthony Davis scored on a 12-yard run and Nyack leads 20-7 with seven minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.
Update 3: After a scoreless third quarter, it’s still 13-7 Nyack. The Indians will have the ball at their own 29 to start the fourth quarter. Each team had one offensive possession in the third quarter. Nyack missed a 32-yard field goal. Harrison punted.
Update 2: Harrison has pulled within 13-7 at the half, scoring on a 95-yard drive with the key play being a 42-yard run by QB Phil Dillulio. Justin Segal then scored on a 5-yard run with 3:36 left in the half.
Update 1: Harold Gutmann is on hand for this Class A quarterfinal and Nyack leads 13-0 after the first quarter. After the Indians jumped ahead on a 9-yard TD run by Raymond Nichols, Harrison fumbled on its next play. Dominic Leonard then scored Nyack’s second TD.
ST. ANTHONY’S AT IONA PREP
Final: Iona Prep 41, St. Anthony’s 21
How about this, folks? The Gaels, who fell to St. Anthony’s six times the last three seasons, beat the Friars for the first time since way back in 1997. A TD by Woodson-Samuels closed out the scoring.
Update 4: Mack scores his third touchdown — on a 5-yard run. The kick was blocked, but Iona leads 34-21 with 10:14 left.
Update 3: It’s 28-21 Iona after three quarters. Mack had another 1-yard run for the Gaels. St. Anthony’s RB Nicholas Mercurio had another 1-yard run. The Friars then added the 2-point conversion. Iona Prep has the ball at midfield to start the fourth quarter.
Update 2: Could Iona Prep be headed for its first win over St. A’s since 1997? Iona leads 21-13 at the half. Jeff Mack’s 1-yard run and Chris Alfano’s 20-yard reception from Woodson-Samuels made it 21-10. The Friars’ Nicholas Ferrara kicked a 46-yard field goal with three seconds to go.Here are some halftime stats. Woodson-Samuels is 6 for 7 for 111 yards. He has six carries for 102 yards and a touchdown.
Update 1: Alex Myers just checked in from New Ro, where he’s reporting on this CHSFL showdown. Iona Prep is down 10-7 midway through the second quarter. The Friars just kicked a 20-yard field goal. Tyrae Woodson-Samuels, the Iona junior star QB, scored on a 26-yard run on fourth-and-11 on the Gaels’ first drive to make it 7-0.
WHITE PLAINS AT NEW ROCHELLE
Final: New Rochelle 21, White Plains 7
New Ro will face Mahopac next weekend in the semifinals.
Update 5: McGhee scores on a 6-yard run with 5:08 left and New RO now leads 21-7.
Update 4: JT reports New Ro is holding that 14-7 lead after three.
Update 3: The athletic and talented Tremayne Williams of New Ro hauled in a wide-receiver screen and raced into the end zone. The Huguenots lead 14-7 with 4:58 remaining in the third.
Update 2: White Plains has jumped out to a 7-6 lead at the half on a 1-yard run by William Dosantos. New Ro then scored with less than two minutes to go in the half on a 6-yard run by Jonny McGhee. The kick was wide right. We’re start the second half ready to put a Gameday Central Upset Alert in effect. Stay tuned.

Sean Carter rushed for 233 yards on 12 carries with three TDs. The Nanuet D had three goal-line stands and forced four turnovers.
The Golden Knights will play defending state champion Rye next weekend in the semifinals.
Update 4: The Golden Knights are pulling away, gang. Brian reports it’s now 28-0 after three. Sean Carter just scored on a 90-yard run. Hanney then added another 2-point conversion on a QB keeper.
Update 3: Nanuet, which has had two goal-line stands, leads 20-0. Hanney’s 2-yard run was the Golden Knights’ latest score.
Update 2: It’s 14-0 early in the second quarter. Tom Hanney ran for a 28-yard TD for the Golden Knighhts’ second score.
