  1. section 1 w/ some sense

Nyack is shooting themselves in the foot

once again its up to nyack to play mistake free to win this game

  2. ChiefWildEagle

Like I said Nyack has a tendency to self distruct except against Ossining.
I appears that Nyack is not getting pressure on Arduino and he is probably completing a lot of short passes, a real lot, like 185 yards worth. That is alot of passing in 2 quarters.
Nyack seems to still be in it, if they just stop turning the ball over.

  3. section 1 w/ some sense

now we are talking, nyack protecting the ball, getting to be too much for section 9
gotta keep it up tho, Cornwall wont go away

  4. section 1 w/ some sense

coming down to the wire, looks like 1st and goal cornwall down a FG

  5. section 1 w/ some sense

Nyack could win on a turnover!!!! football gods smiling across the hudson it appears

  6. section 1 w/ some sense

Cas is in the middle of the field, not a timeout , he apparently just raped a measurement out of the refs, then was in the huddle on defense, not a time out, you can throw legend around but this guy steps all over it, he crosses the line day in and out, it was just a change of possession, no reason for him to be on the field, run your guys to the sideline like everyone else

  7. section 1 w/ some sense

looks like the PA guy will get another chance at ruining a game lol

  8. section 1 w/ some sense

looks like the PA guy will get another chance at ruining a game lol 1st and goal cornwall time has to be winding down

  9. section 1 w/ some sense

Arduino scrambles out of bounds, 3rd-goal from the 6 now

  10. section 1 w/ some sense

Arduion scrambles for a touchdown!!!!!! AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH …............ oh! but a flag, holding, the gods still favoring Nyack….will be 3rd and goal from somewhere around the 15-20 now

  11. section 1 w/ some sense

or maybe it was 4th , cornwall attempts a FG, NO GOOD!!! Nyack advances, moving on up to Kingston, anyone know when Indian River is playing ? are they playing burnt hills ??

I caught the last quarter via the webcast. What a game! I found myself unabashadly rooting for Nyack as if this were Harrison in the states two years ago. Nyack appeared to be too strong up front for Cornwall to stop, but voila! Cornwall stops them when they tried to get the first down to kill the clock. This kid Arduino was as good as advertised. Nyack’s D stiffened inside the 5 late creating the turnover. The spread offense looks a little less effective deep in the red zone. That holding call looked legit to me; I thought the defender had a shot at Arduino well before he went in.

Congratulations Nyack! The dome is clearly in sight.

Burnt Hills defeated Indian River 35 – 12 so Nyack will play the Burnt Hils Spartans next week

  14. aa

Burnt Hills is VERY good. The QB Layton cant be stopped, should be a good game.

  15. upstatetim

I also caught the last quarter of this game – had been keeping tabs on the progess of both section 1 and section 9 – a great finish, but I think next week’s game should be just as good.

  16. upstatetim

Yes, Layton is very good – he can also throw the ball and he haas a full compliment of RB’s that can also carry the ball

  17. upstatetim

Anyone know how to get updates on the western part of the state’s games?

  18. aa

I watched BH play three games this year. They put up points at a crazy pace and are very stingy on D.

  19. aa

He’s good but stop him and you stop the Spartans. He can’t beat you with his arm.

  20. upstatetim

Yes – 5 shutouts I believe, including the Section 2 title game (19 – 00 over Bishop Maginn

They now have scored 491 points and have given up only 65, including tonights game

  21. upstatetim

he can – he throws very well – they just haven’t really had to

  22. upstatetim

Where are you from that you were able to see BH play three games?

  23. ChiefWildEagle

Way to pull it together in the second half, good luck against BHBL next week.

As for Cas, last week he was on the field more than most of the players.
And is there anything this guy does not complaint about during a game. Should have been flagged at least once last week against Ossining.
The best this year though was in week 5 when Cas was complaining to the officials about the smoke at Ossining that was coming from the grill. What a tool.

I think maybe it is time now that Santavicca is retired, to bestow the nickname on Cas, Johnny “Hashmark” Castalano.

  24. aa

Alumini of BH and will be at the game Friday night for sure. Hoping the run continues.

  25. upstatetim

Hope to see you there Obviously I am from Burnt Hills and was listening to their game tonight on North Country Sports broadcast (audio only) but they beat Indian River quite soundly. When did you graduaute?

  26. aa

87, my brother is the Varsity Girls Soccer coach. You?

  27. upstatetim

Brian Bold is your brother? My wife is the current Principal of BHBL High School. You graduated well before she took over though

  28. aa

Yes, I just emailed him about goping to the game. Crazy small world. I live down in Yorktown, Section 1 now.

  29. upstatetim

Tell him Tim says hello (Symer that is)

  30. aa

Will do…he’s meeting me at the game. Take care.

  31. upstatetim

That is crazy – I actually used to live in Dutchess County, worked in Putnam county and at times used to go to a bar in the Westchester County Plaza in Yorktown!

  32. upstatetim

    Take care

  33. NYACK NATION

Cheif wild eagle your just all upset that ur team didnt get this far stop being such a baby and complaining about how coaches coach

BTW you will never be as good of a coach as JOHN CASTELLANO we would blow you away in a game so i would stop talking

  34. ConnorNYACK

just to clear things up, cas did call a timeout to speak to his players… i was right there
