More Kyle Ramahlo.....win or lose over the next two weeks, #42 has cemented a spot as one of the all time Rye greats. As an impact player on both sides of the ball since 9th grade on the Rye varsity...Ramhalo is 45-1 as a Garnet..has never lost to a section 1 opponent...and is the team leader on a squad with a 23 game winning streak.

Just back from Dietz...Kyle Ramahlo pounded Highland all night long, rushing for three TD's in the 35-6 Rye win. Cole McCormack and Luke O'Malley also had a slew of 7-8 yd. runs throughout the game. I'm guessing Ramahlo had about 140 yards and the other two about 60-75 yards each. JV running back Christian Bonaventura looked super running the ball late in the game against the Highland starters...he had about 40 yds. also. The only Highland score came on a blocked punt...a kid came through totally un-blocked and this was one of many Rye mistakes tonight...there were several(4-5) Rye fumbles in the game...all on exchanges....very uncharacteristic for the Garnets. Highland never threatened to sore in the game despite recovering a few of the loose balls in Rye territory. It's funny that people like me can be so critical of an easy 35-6 win, but the expectations are such that most of the Rye crowd are looking for perfection every single game. For Rye though this game had to be considered a clinker...that's how good they are and have been lately. Something tells me that they will be clicking on all cylanders next week against either Beekmantown or Hudson Falls. Congrats to Nyack and Croton and good luck to these three next week at Dietz.
