    Attention Sports Editor:

This comment will probably not make it to your blog but, I can no longer contain myself. The coverage for girls softball this year has been very bad to say the least. There is little attendance from your newspaper at the games. Whereas, other sports like lacrosse and baseball have excellent support. The reporter has limited actual knowledge of the players outside of Rockland County, which was clearly evident now that I have watched the recent broadcast from your channel. She should go see some of the players play, so she can have a a means to compare, before labeling practically everybody DYNAMIC.

Additionally, why are the rankings not split the way you say they will be in the titles? Is this an oversight? Putnam and Northern Westchester county schools in the same rankings as Central and Southern Westchester. The rankings are identical lists. Do you not know where the schools are located that you keep lumping them all into one? Rockland County Schools have approximately 12 softball teams. Very easy to pick top five out of 12. Westchester and Putnam have approximately 60. Does that seem like an even comaparison, to get one top five out of 60 teams in two larger counties than the other one?

Also, does your staff in the softball department give no consideration to strength of schedule as the baseball and lacrosse reporters do? One of the teams on your list…., please already, they play nobody. Where is the information from the game they lost? I guess it can get past your knowledgeable expert staff that beating the likes of Keio, Tuckahoe, and Bronxville is really no great accomplishment. Why did you pull Dobbs off then? They are undefeated and play the same schedule, for the most part. Oh yeah but, that would require knowledge of the teams and verifying information for the different parts of the two counties right?

Your switch over to highschoolsportsnet is a joke, there are so many inaccuracies. Why does Tayla Gardner have 4 losses for the same game? Your killing her ERA with that game. Why does another girl Emily Taylor have 4 wins for the same game? What is wrong with you people? There are several similar problems with your system and who can tell who the true leaders are? Don’t you know that your lack of attention to this and lackluster approach to reporting may prevent/ allow some players to get picked/eliminated from certain awards? Your staff can’t be bothered to pick up the phone and call somebody to ask for missing information. Teach them simple data input entry to not have the same things recorded 4 times!!

Glory seeking /complaining parents on your blog looking to draw attention to their mediocre kids seems to win out in the end with you people. The squeaking wheel? Enough said on that.

Firing Tony Pinciaro was a huge dis-service to these athletes. He went to games, wrote stories about them, posted his thoughts and insights onto his blog, and managed to report the scores and brief highlights of the other games. We are now getting cut and paste jobs of what goes into the paper more often than not. I guess you get what you pay for right? His salary was too high so you got rid of him and kept the lower paid people on board. What a joke! I feel bad for your reporter, she could do a better job if she had time and help.

This will probably not make it through your screening/moderation process of posting on the softball board, the only one of which does this I might add. What is up with that? Oh yeah probably because of irate true fans of the game who want to voice contrasting opinions and point out the inequalities to girls coverage by the Journal News.

The boys seem to have 2 full time baseball reporters, girls seem to have 2 part time ones. Maybe the reporters of baseball just do their jobs better. It is not too late to salvage the reputation of coverage for the season, get more people or at least one for crying out loud.
Please get on the ball and give better coverage!!!!

Hi, fine article, you posted however if you don’t mind I’d append few notes around approaching girls or guys. Peculiarly it can be powerful when it occurs to man woman relationships. The main matter is your attitude, which should be close and open. If you have an position like that, any individual shouldn’t find any difficultness that you have speechmaking as presenting. When you initiate a conversation, you commonly need to ask safe doubts that are confident not to cause her any soreness. Once the conversation gets some momentum, you can exact more individual queries. A good illusion is to memorise some questions she made a point of so whenever the conversation slows down, you can boot one of these questions.
