Justin Orden scored three goals, and Ben GottesdienerĀ made five saves for his fourth shutout of the season, as the Edgemont boys soccer team defeated Eastchester 4-0 today (Friday).
Jon Sklaroff had two assists for the Panthers (7-1-1), who have an eight-game unbeaten streak after losing to Mamaroneck on opening day.
Carlos Patino had nine saves for Eastchester, which bowed just 1-0 to Edgemont last Saturday at Eastchester.
“We played on a wider field this time, after playing on a very short field Saturday,” Edgemont coach Mike Cozza said. “The wider field spreads out the other team, and we are very strong in one-on-one situations.
“Also, our passing was a lot crisper this time. We played better as a team.”

Got a chance to see Port Chester – Harrison on Saturday morning. Harrison must have felt overmatched. They put 10 on defense for 3/4 of the game. Port Chester with its truckload of talent, dominated possession. Port Chester looks to be a sleeper in Conference A this year.
