Boys soccer semifinal results

Just got back from Purchase College, where No. 14 Somers stunned No. 7 Port Chester in PKs. The Tuskers will play No. 1 Byram Hills in the Class A sectional final.

I will post score updates here as they come in.

Blind Brook 2, Valhalla 0: In the Class C semifinal game at No. 2 Blind Brook, Matthew Christal and Jeffrey Babat both scored. Teammate Ryan Seguljic had eight saves. Matt Whitman had eight saves for the No. 3 Vikings. The Trojans will play No. 1 North Salem/No. 4 Solomon Schechter in the championship game at Arlington on Saturday at 7:30.

Arlington 2, Scarsdale 0: In the Class AA semifinal game at No. 1 Arlington, Daniel Kelly had six saves for No. 4 Scarsdale. Arlington will play at home against No. 2 Horace Greeley on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. for the championship.

North Salem 3, Solomon Schechter 0: In a Class C semifinal at North Salem, Matt Huntington, Jesse Levy, and Peter Swetz scored and Geoffrey Semmens made five saves for No. 1 North Salem. Robby Markowitz had six saves for No. 4 Schechter. The Tigers play No. 2 Blind Brook in Saturday’s 7:30 p.m. championship at Arlington.

Horace Greeley 4, John Jay-East Fishkill 1: In the Class AA semifinal game at No. 2 Horace Greeley, Stephen Reisert had two goals. Teammates Zach Fried and Drew Felsenthal also scored in the win over the No. 11 Patriots. The Quakers will play at No. 1 Arlington on Saturday for the championship at 2:30 p.m.

Rye Neck 2, Bronxville 0: In the Class B Semifinal game at No. 6 Rye Neck, Ivan Martinez and Mike Goncalves both scored. Teammate Dalton Mendez had 10 saves. Thomas Dawson had seven saves for the No. 7 Broncos. The Panthers will play No. 4 Albertus Magnus/No. 1 Edgemont in the championship at Arlington High School onĀ  Saturday at 2:30 p.m.

Byram Hills 1, Rye 0: In a Class A semifinal at Byram Hills, Andrew Erlic’s goal 1:45 into the game held up for the top-seeded Bobcats. Josh Weiner made eight saves while Michael Linehan made six for No. 4 Rye. Byram will take on No. 14 Somers in the 5 p.m. Saturday championship.

Edgemont 1, Albertus Magnus, 2OT: In the Class B Semifinals at No. 1, Adam Glanzman scored on a rebound from Justin Orden with one minute left. Teammate Ben Gottesdiener had five saves. Tim Morris had seven saves for the No. 4 Falcons. The Panthers will play No. 6 Rye Neck at Arlington on Saturday in the championship at 2:30 p.m.

    Hope to see you at Arlington for the Class C game on Saturday. Last years NYS class C runner up North Salem (no. 1) vs. Blind Brook (no 2). North Salem beat Keio earlier in the season and Blind Brook has had an impressive season.
