Championship soccer schedule
-
- November
- 5
Saturday is championship day for boys and girls soccer. All the results are in and the matchups are set.
As usual with the girls, the best teams prevail. All four finals feature the No. 1 vs the No. 2 seed.
The boys are a little more mixed. Although all four top seeds made it and two of the No. 2s, there’s a No. 6 in there and a No. 14. As far as anyone remembers, that No. 14 (Somers) is the lowest seed ever in a title game.
Boys soccer will be at Arlington. Girls are at Yorktown. Here are the complete schedules.

Jake,
I know the Girls class C final was changed to Sunday 11:00 AM in Yorktown due to SAT testing. How about the Class B Bronxville-Briarcliff game? Thanks
Byram is overrated. They play kick and run and will probably end up losing tomorrow. It would not surprise me at all.
My prediction
Somers 2 Byram 1
jaz, you are an idiot ! Even if they lose, Byram is the better team with the better record.
Guess you are a somers kid. But, of course you are !
Rye Neck 3-0 over Edgmont!!!!!!
What a physical game. The game was very exciting and bodies were flying everywhere. There were several yellow cards issued in the Briarcliff vs. Bronxville game. Briarcliff on top of his one 2-1.
jaz byram just won 4-0
Good luck to all the teams in the regionals.
It continues to amaze and disappoint me the lack of soccer coverage. Three preview pages of football and three more of results and not a mention in today’s paper about the soccer games. Bad reporting and despite cuts the imbalance can not be explained—when there is no football what are the reporters doing ? Scouting high school football versus reporting the soccer games that are ongoing. Lack of resources or bad resource management
